Dedicated to the memory of Ann Williamson

This site is a tribute to Ann Williamson (née Wendes), set up by her sons, Simon and Andrew Baker. Mum was born (on 19 September 1938) and brought up on the Isle of Wight (and Simon was born there in 1963).  After a year in the USA and a few in St Albans (where Andrew was born in 1965), for most of Mum's adult life (1969-2018) she lived near Glasgow (first in Bearsden, then Lenzie and Kirkintilloch).  When the progression of her Parkinson's disease was threatening to make it unsafe for Mum to continue living independently, she moved to a care home in Hindhead, Surrey, near Andrew in Godalming and Simon on the Isle of Wight.  Mum died there, aged 82, on 19 January 2021.

Mum was kind, clever, funny, generous, warm, sensible and loving.  She loved and was loved by her Williamson step-children, Kaye Cameron, Graham Williamson and Margo Patrick.  She was an amazing and devoted Grandma to Kaye's Louise and Stewart, Graham's Jamie and Matthew, and Margo's Mark, and was delighted to have become a Great-Grandma to Louise's Isaac and Oliver; she was the most wonderful Granny Annie to Simon's Emily and Benedict, and to Andrew's Adam, Benjamin, Dominic and Ellis.

Mum has left behind a large wider family and very many friends, all of whom knew her and will remember her as one of the finest people they had the good fortune to know.  Gone from us for this life, but loved and fondly remembered always.

Rest in peace, dear darling Mum.
